Hi, Renscub here!
Hi Everyone,
"renscub" aka Ren here. I had this cub and sold it about 5 years ago...(like an idiot)
So now, after 5 years , I bought an ugly, beat-up Cub last weekend and I am starting down the road again.
I have been a long-time restorer of WWII jeeps like "Sweetpea" here..
There is a lot more about me and my restorations here on my website...
http://www.rensjeep.com
Looking forward to interacting with everyone here!
Cheers,

Welcome to the forum, Ren! That is a really neat Jeep you have there and a nice book!
There are several Jeep collectors on this forum, though I don't know if they are WWII Jeep people or not. How much did the Jeep change between WWII and the Korean war? I have seen pictures of the Vietnam era Jeep, and they seem significantly different. I know NOTHING about these little beasties!

Many WWII jeeps were used in the Korean conflict. Jeeps built during the Korean war (the M38 and M38A1 jeeps) were significantly different from the WWII version in everything except looks.
The Farmall Cub is also one of those iconic vehicles, like the jeep, that seem timeless and remain useful and loved well beyond their expected lifetime.
Here's to the Cub!
Cheers,
Ren

Hi Ren cool Jeep,,,,,,, I was in the Army 80-83 and we still had that style Jeep, except it had a full indepent suspension (front and rear) they were fun to drive especially off road but on the highway with a short trailer they were a handful of terror ...

Re: Hi, Renscub here!
Wow does that jeep bring back memories!! My Dad had one in the 60's. We still have the trailer and the original cover. I will never forget the smell of that canvas . Having 8 kids we pulled that thing behind us on every vacation we went on. One time us kids stopped up the drain holes and filled it with water. We were in hog heaven with our "pool". Hot tub before its time. Funny!!
Thanks for the flash back and welcome to the greatest forum there is.
