surgery next week

Postby John *.?-!.* cub owner » Thu Oct 23, 2008 10:03 pm

About 8 years ago I had a gastric bypass (stomach stapling) that didn't go quite as planned, I bled out and spent a week in a coma, and 4 1/2 weeks in the hospital, in addition to having a couple of strokes in the process that affected my memory and fine motor skills. I have a hernia where one of the incisions was made just above my waist, and am going in Tue. of next week for repair surgery. If all goes well, my stay will be just overnight. Any prayers will be appreciated.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

John
Betty and I will have you in our prayers.
I don't envy you on the repair. I had one done about ten years ago and they gave me an epidural, hope I spelled it right, and I had a reaction to it. I went into shock and the even called the crash cart out, thought I might not make it but God had other things in mind. As you see I made it fine.

Again we will be praying for you and a quick recovery.

Will do John! I got a ventral hernia shortly after my surgery (less than 2 years) I understand it is commonplace. Good luck with the surgery and hope all goes well.

I found this old Cub, Forgotten and Forlorn,
With pistons and valves frozen and worn.
Help from my buddies on Farmallcub.com,
And an engine from Ralph, (37’s the one),
Now ole Corky is running and back to life,
Much to the surprise of my dear, dear wife!
