If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Great Pictures!!! What would cause a crack like that? Hard use? Or just old stress in the casting coning out? I know that some weldings and castings are stress relieved by taking to high heat and very methodically allowing them to cool. I wonder, did IH do that on these castings?
Any way Great shots.

Is that a repaired crack on the other side of the casting, between the right fender mounting stud and the cap screw???????????? From a picture it is hard to tell, but in that area it tends to stick out past the rest of the edge, and about the thickness of a weld, Could be just shadow or casting marks. Please let us know.

Bigdog, that crack does not look too bad :o ..What is the plan for repair :?:

Good pictures 8) Is that decal that says " hitch only to drawbar" located on the back of the seat?

Looks like a nice Woods mowing deck too. Most I have seen are mustard yellow, the red looks better 8) 8) 8)

That is a mold mark in the casting.

Mike - the plan is to replace the casting. J.P. is hopefully going to have one ready for me to pick up next week.

That decal is centered on the seat back.
