radiator question
i have a 66 cub and when it gets up to operating temperature it starts to spit out antifreeze out the overflow. can i use a pressure cap on this? also how far from the top should i fill this? thanks

You can use a low pressure cap if you want but it probably isn't necessary. The thermo-syphon cooling system will spit out the excess fluid and find it's own level which is usually about 1 1/2 - 2" below the neck opening. Generally, if the level is above the core tubes, you are probably OK. I think you'll find that if you leave it alone, it will seek it's level and stop spitting coolant. If you do go to a pressure cap, a 4 to 7# cap is about as much as your tractor will need.

Don't bother to grease that fitting unless you are using the pto in a stationary mode such as a buzz saw. A single shot of grease once or twice a year is enough. There is another string dealing with this on the forum. The pto is splash lubed with oil from the differential when the tractor is in motion.
