Yup, heck of a road trip, but one I am sure we will enjoy. Will probably take us a week to get there. Sure hope we can actually go. My fingers are crossed.
With youngun's still at home it will be dicey, but I am going to try.
Ken:

Hey Rudi,
Hope to see you there. Jamie, John, and gang give a trophy for "furthest traveled". Ted Klunder, a fellow countryman of yours, won it the first two years and I think Mike Tiemann (mltiema) won it this year.
Start calling the Madison Inn every other month and keep tabs on your reservations. Otherwise, you will have to bunk at Country Elliott's Longhorn Motel

I will surely do that. Now to win the furthest travelled, ya gotta bring your Cub right?
Ifn that is the case, I will be out of the running. It will be enough to get Emilie there, never mind her AND Ellie-Mae

Hey Rudi,
That is great news!!! I sure hope that your "xyl"
get to make the trip. Have either of you been, well, ya know, "south of
the border" before?
Please bring pictures of the autumn foilage from your neck of the woods.
I know people are interested. Of course, include the CUB in every photo!!!
Looking forward to meeting y'all in person.

K, not a problem on the autumn foliage. Maybe I will take a pic tomorrow and post tomorrow night. Hopefully that is, ifn we have any leaves left on the trees after Sub-Tropical Storm Nicole is finished with us. Right now we have 100km or 60mph winds outside......
As for have we been south of the border before Yup Em and I have been to Maine many times and have travelled from Ottawa to Cornwall then over the border through the northeastern states to Houlton Me and then home.
As for me, I was once married to a gal from Los Angeles. She tried living in Inuvik - NOT! and I tried living in LA for a couple of years. Gave up on both and came home......
Then I met Em. Now you know the rest of the story
Ifn we come, I hope to have a deent rig in the van by then - multi-band/multi-mode. Em is VE9EL (novice) and I am VE9RHS (advanced). I am also an IOTA nut as well as a Canadian and US Island chaser. I am hoping to be able to do some island hopping as well. That would be a nice call for the island chasers - VE9RHS- portable K/W/N ?????
Got some buddies who are gonna come over and help me with my antenna party. Need to re-do my dipoles, connect my military vertical and repair my Thunderbird. Hope to have that all done in the next few weeks. If so will post. Hopefully we can then have a QSO on 20 meters

Rudi, I have my reservations at the Madison Inn as well. I've been lucky so far, they haven't messed mine up. But I do check on them at least a couple of times.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Hey Rudi,
I think all that is required is that you be registered and you will need to do that to get your name tag/button and cap.

Guys:
I am really looking forward to this. I sure hope we can go. I am getting my better half primed as much as I can. This could be an interesting year!
btw, how much is the registration fee? Does it just cover admission, badge, button and hat?
Will there be a dinner for the farmallcub.com group??? Any ideas yet?

Rudi, The registration in the past has been $20. It is a per family registration so be sure to include your wife's name on the form or Jamie will yell at you (don't ask how I know).
We have talked about a farmallcub.com dinner and I think it might be a definite possiblilty if enough interest is shown. If nothing else, we can all just go out to dinner together somewhere.
Tell Em that she has my personal guarantee that she will have a good time. There are lots of things to see and do that are not cub related. And we can always use more in the cheering section during the tractor games.
