Tubing Step
I've seen the plans for making a step using round pipe and 1/4" plates - but seems like I've seen steps made of either angle iron, or square tubing with diamond plating for the part where your foot goes - anyone do anthing with that? Just curious if angle iron would be strong enough - or what thickness you'd have to go with.

I used George Willer's basic design. Substituted round pipe for 1-1/2" square tubing. Works like a charm. Also made one from 1"x2" tubing as well - more heavy duty.
Have pics will post.
Oh, the step itself is flat plate, scratched up with weld. Works well.
