:D Picked up a 54 blade today! :D :D 8) :D Is there any difference in the blade itself between the 54 and 54A, or is it in the mounting hardware?
If not, we've got the hardware to make it a 54A ( Thanks Mike!! :D )

No pics yet, been raining cats and dogs!! My digi cam is a cheepy, and won't take pics indoors or on dark days! Oh well, if the sun ever comes out again I'll take a few pics.

If you have an early 54 blade, the blade itself is the same as a 54A but nearly everything else is different. The late 54 blade is nearly identical to a 54A. Some 54A pivot bolts have bushings and the substitute drawbar is different.

David:

Here is an excuse for you and your Dad to come on over. Gord and I are in the final processes of fabricating what we need. Pretty sure that we have just about everything. Think I am going to try to mount it either Friday or Saturday.

Sorry didn't call your Dad, got home real late from French Class...

Thanks Jim, the reason I say 54 is that it doesn't have the spring in the vee part of the lift,, is that a correct assumption??

Rudi, you've been married to a french woman for how many years and are just taking a french class now :?: :?: :D BTW,, we'll be needing those extra pieces back now to figure this all out.

Well, if he's been married a few years, he might be reaching the point where he can start to get a few words into the conversation now and then! :) :) :)

Words like "Yes, dear" and "Right away, dear" and "I'm sorry, dear, I'll never use the bathtub as an electrolysis tank again."

No spring makes it the early version ('49-'52 without looking it up) of the Cub-54.

David:

Jim is correct. It sounds like your blade is the same as Gord's and mine. Check out the manual, it does show it quite clearly.

As for the parts, talked to your Dad already. Working on a time frame. But as I pointed out - this might be an apropos time for a visit :!:  :D I figure 4 heads would be a lot better than 2 :!: yes :?:

Gord and I are almost at the stage to test assemble on Ellie.

Let me know.

Hey guys:

I know better than to say more than just yes dear, no dear, and are you having a good day dear :?: :?: :?:

Along with practising my German with my Cousin, I figure now I will be able to say all of the above in at least 4 languages... anyone know what the 4th one is :?:

BD - good idea though for the bathtub :!:  :!: I am having a devil of a time getting the Cub-54 blade into the tank
