DANGEROUS loss of traction!

Well, with the turf tires on the back of my Cub, and with the tires "dry" instead of "wet", I can't get traction anywhere but on level ground!

Yes it's been raining here a lot, and the ground is pretty slick, kind of muddy beneath the grass, but I have to say these turfs are useless for anything other than mowing on a very level field...

I expected not to be able to go up or down my steepest grades behind the house, but as it turns out I'm having trouble getting up even slight grades, and I'm tearing out *way* more grass than I ever did with the "wet ags" on the back.

Looks like I'll be making the switch *back* to ags and living with a little bit of dimple in the lawn - it's better than lying on my back with a tractor on top of me!

Allen, Have you tried wheel weights? They might help a little.

I finally got around to putting my wheel weights on.
Boy what a differance, I was afraid they would tear up the grass too but it's not as bad as I thought.

Well, I was thinking about buying turf tires for my tractor but I think I'll stick with the ag tires. Thanks for the heads up, Allen, because my lot is fairly level but there are areas with a slight incline. I'll spend my money on something else I really need!

I have turf tires w/wheel weights, and I've never had a problem. I have some pretty good upgrades, too.
