I removed the steering knuckle universal joint SHOT , the PO did not have a grease fitting in, does it matter which side the fitting fits on ,front side or back side of the joint, is it a 90 degree Fitting? Also ,with the steering straight , the Knuckle that attaches to the second rod towards the front bolster, bolt up? and Key down . Could someone look at there M and report back I hope to get this together asap Phil

got the knuckle orientation worked out , need info on the grease fitting towards the steering wheel or bolster. I know it may or may not matter, am not sure if it will hit the knuckles if it is on the wrong side Phil

I would line it up with the little hole in the hood so the grease gun will go on with the hood on it. that is the way my H is set up! thanks; sonny

I know the bushing fitting is visible from the hood the knuckle sets in a bit , My main concern is it possibly hitting the knuckle part. , I looked at a super M last evening, it was like our original no fitting , just a through hole. Any help please Phil

Figured it out on my own. The fitting goes in t he cast knuckle, will hit the front shaft side walls. Will be able to move the fitting around after I get it mounted for ease of greasing.
