FORWARDING a PM

Postby Miss Farmall » Mon Jan 19, 2009 7:12 pm

Is FORWARDING a PM to another member an option? Needed to forward one of mine to hubby that had repair info in it and I didn't see that as an option...did I miss it? or is it not an option? Thanks!

Stacey,

I'm pretty sure that forwarding is NOT an option. BUT.....you can reply to the message, take out the originator's id and put hubby's in. Give it a try. :D

I have a forward button next to the reply button on my pm page but that may be a moderator function only.

I tried. I couldn't get it to work.
Hey Big Dog, hook me up with one of "those" buttons
Thanks guys. Just thought maybe I was missing the forward option as an oversight on my part.

okay. this is how to forward:

Open the PM that you want to "forward".
Click on the "Quote" button.
Add hubby's user ID in the box under the "To:" line.
Click the "Add" button.
Now uncheck the originator's user ID by clicking the X next to their ID.
That should leave only Hubby's ID.
Go down to the bottom and click "Submit".

Thanks Don McCombs!

I would think that if you were unlucky enough not to have the forward button  :D a simple cut and paste would work well.

That's how I've been doin' it.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Bingo :!: That is the way I do it..

I used to copy paste, but it didn't give me the look I wanted.. I guess I am kinda weird that way.. I like things to look formatted... must be the Military SOP writer in me...

Which ever works best for you is the way to go..
