Cub 54-A Decals

Postby Donny M » Thu Nov 04, 2004 6:29 pm

Does anyone have info about the decals and placement of for the Cub 54-A blade :?:
The manual has only one picture of a decal and the picture is poor at best.

This probably won't help a bit but I have the word International decaled across one of the lifting arms. My 54's a bit newer. Probably from the early 1960's but there you are...

Scotty,

Before I put the frame in the de-rusto tank it had Cub 54A on each side of the frame. On the back side of the blade it had an International and a 54 centered underneath that.

Shoot I wish I had taken pictures before :!: :( 8)

Thanks Jim :!:
Mine looked the same as yours except white. I didn't know if there were any more decals or not. 8)

Mine is older than Jim Hudson's. It has a Cub-54A decal on one side of the frame, similar location as JH's, different decal. I think the other side has a patent decal. Don't recall any other without looking. This is one of those things that changed over the years. The older ones don't have a model id plate either.

Jim:

K, so we are restoring our 54's. What decals should we be looking for? Is there a part number for the Decal kit? Seeing as I don't have a 54 manual, I can't look that up....

would like to be as accurate as possible.

thanks

I only have a 54A. It was white when new had International across the top back of the blade and a IH emblem on the right end and 54A on the frame. I have read on this board that someone had decals for one of the blades but don't know which. I think I read that the dealer could get one of them. I only know what I read here on the board. Mine has no decals now and is all red. And muddy. I decided to use my Cub. Most people who come in my shop don't know what it is are how its supposed to look.

Well since I'm restoring my 54A, I'd be interested in a label kit. As soon as one becomes available, let me know.
