Im looking at cub lowboy S/n 41093 that has aL in frount of S/N but theserial number cart say's it's a 48 but they didn't build iowboys tell 55 what isgoing on here thanks

You are looking at the serial number list for the Farmall Cub, not the Lo-Boy. They are different lists. You are probably looking at one of the numbered Lo-Boys, most likely a '75 model 185. I suggest you read the entire page of FAQs at http://www.antique-tractor.com/CubFAQ/cub_faq.html to identify the tractor. If you are considering buying this tractor, be sure to look at question 10. Some of it will not apply to a numbered Lo-Boy but most will.

Jim thanks but did they make a 185 with fast hitch as this cub has? he say's that it should have the chrome insert style logos the picture looks cub lowboy thanks

OK, it is an offset Lo-Boy which would have been built between '55 and '68, '55 and '58 for that style hood.

That serial number can't belong to that tractor. If it has that number, the front bolster, along with the serial plate, probably came from another tractor.

I can't address accuracy of anything else in the listing.

That white smoke would alarm me. Probably coolant leaking into combustion chambers.
