Generator Belt

Postby denton » Mon Nov 29, 2004 5:14 pm

Fellas, after major computer crash I have lost all my liks to the good info sites. Could anyone give me the dimensions for an aftermarket generator belt on a 51. I figure I could get it a lot cheaper aftermarket than I could from the IH dealer. Thanks for the help. I would measure mine but it disintegrated. Thanks. Denton

According to my notes that would be IH 351321R1, which is a Gates/Carquest 6821

I would shop the dealer and aftermarket on prices. I bought a bearing for the front bolster on my B Farmall from my Case/IH dealer for $52.73 that sales for $99.00 at Napa. I have bought several of the fan and generator belts from my dealer. I will check the prices and report back later tonight.

Thanks fellas. I have found my dealer is higher on most everything, however I usually still patronize there just because I figure it's hard for just about any farm place to make it. If the price is anywhere close, I always go for the IH.

Napa Belts

Postby Gene Chestnutt » Mon Nov 29, 2004 7:33 pm

Just replaced both belts last week with replacements from my local NAPA. Total came to about $16.00 together. I believe the generator belt was $4 and some change.
