How do I.... ?

A little over a year ago I had a problem with the forum not opening when connected through my wireless router. I can get everything else but not the forum. If I bypass my router and connect direct to my modem all is well in the barnyard. I tried about everything and the only cure was to buy a new router. Bingo, it came alive.
The problem is back. I don't want to keep buying routers and it is only the forum that is affected.
Any ideas from you computer guys?

What brand and model of router are you using?
A worst case scenario is to use the routers "reset" feature to configure everything back to square one. Then test it to see if you can get to the site. Some routers use a small recessed pin that must be pushed in with a paperclip, and others must be done from the router software.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Before you do a full reset of the settings, make not of your wireless security settings, DNS servers, host system name & IP addresses, etc.

Dennis, I have a Netgear 108 Mbps router.
I have already set my router back to the default settings and it has not worked.

Bill: I have found that I actually have to add http://www.farmallcub.com to my router's list of acceptable websites. Once I did this, I no longer had the problem. Whenever a gremlin shows up, I simply clear my cache/history in IE/FireFox, reboot my router and poof, problem all gone. Hopefully this may be a simple fix for you as it was for me.

That is a strange one. In your netgear router, what DNS service are you using (your ISP's or something lke OpenDNS)? How is your PC's DNS configured (since it works without the router)? If your not sure how to check your PC's DNS settings, let me know.

I want to thank Dennis for his time in helping talk me through this problem. He gave a lot of great advice. We tried a lot of things but it never would come up. Eventually the entire internet went down and I could not connect to anything with the wireless. I installed a new router and I am now back on line and ready to pester you all again, whether you like it or not!
