New Cub owner

Hi all, just joined the forum tonight. Bought a cub today. I have wanted one for along time and finally did it! It is a 1953 model I am told and it will need a lot of TLC, but it started up fine the hydrolics work and the tin is in good shape. It will need a couple of new front tires and maybe a battery, and lots of paint :D

I am 60 years old and have no need for a tractor but I wanted one :{_}:

I'm looking forward to reading and learning about cubs I hope to attend some events, lord willing.

Welcome! This is truly the best resource you'll have for Cub questions! The manuals are excellent for telling you how to do something, but these folks can tell you what NOT to do in the process (which is equally as important for me!) and what to look for if you follow all the instructions and it still ain't quite right!

I think buying a Cub just cause you wanted one, is more than enough validation. But, I bet you won't be able to stop at just one.. many of us as Roy said, get the bug/addiction/disease or whatever you want to call it and end up with multiples. I have 3.5 Cubs and a Cub Cadet and there are some with 20 or more.. :big say what: .... yup they are addictive.
