Ebay Cub

Postby Bill V in Md » Sat Dec 18, 2004 11:04 am

I just noticed that the same Cub on ebay (1st link) is also listed for sale on the YT site, under photo adds (2nd link).
The photo add was only posted yesterday. Kinda strange, eh?

Must be his back-up plan. I have seen this before. Whichever auction brings the most is where they sell it. If it is going better on ytmag, he will pull the e-bay auction.

He covered himself with the statement "This is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early for local sale." I consider this to be a crappy way to conduct business. Either auction it off or don't. If you are afraid it won't go high enough, put a minimum on it. If somebody comes along locally, let him put in a bid.

I see the tractor is one of those rare white mesh grill Cubs.

It has a pretty good pile of implements with it. Somebody that wants a Cub for gardening would do well to check it out.

The e-bay is an auction, the ytmag is not . Just for sale

At $810 it was an excellent buy--or was it. When I went under bid history a lot of bids where canceled saying the item was no longer for sale and those bids were up to $1800+

So what's up?

I agree with Jim. This guy is a fisherman or just playing games. I would be curious to know if someone got this package for $810.

Check the cancelled bids. It looks as if it was cancelled on E-bay and no one got it there. I still have it on my looking at and pulled it up.

Looks to me like the eBay auction pretty well established the value, whether the high bidder followed through or not.

Check this link. He didn't sell it at all. He pulled it. To offer to sell it to you around E-bay looks like a violation of E-bay practices from what I read.

Look at the hitch on the disk. Is that a ball hitch like on a trailer? Surely that wasn't orignal.

Looks like the shovel furrowing attachment toolbar for a planter. I don't see any other parts that are specifily of a planter. As a toolbar, it could be used several ways on planters or cultivators (like with the disk hillers in the picture).
