manual

Postby DanR » Wed Jul 22, 2009 6:00 am

Does anyone have a parts manual for an H? The manifold is new and I'm not sure it is the right one. The problem is the carb mounting to the manifold. Just doesn't feel or look right.

Dan,
Can't help you out with a book, but I can give you the link to Case/IH parts...
http://www1.caseih.com/northamerica/Par ... earch.aspx
Once you're at that page, click on the red search words at the bottom of the page. Do a model search by typing in "FARMALL H", it should come right up.

I use it all the time for my M, even took time one rainy day to print each page and put them in a binder...

There's one right here on Rudi's manual server...

Both Rudi's manual, didn't know he had one on the H, and the IH parts bool were of great help. Thanks guys. The parts book calls for 1 gasket between the carb and manifold. There is a venturi there, optional, with a collar around it. Neither the manifold or the carb is machined for this. The manifold has a larger footprint than the carb. That makes me think this is a distillate or gas manifold. Maybe the distillate manifold did not use the venturi. Any thoughts?

Follow up: Took the carb to the parts store to maybe match up a gasket. The counterman did not know what a carb was and had not heard of IH. I made and stacked 5 gaskets. The old H is running like a top. :D

Dan:

If folks have a manual for one of the Letter Series Tractors, I have been known to gladly accept scans of em, and have even scanned a couple myself, as there are many of our members who collect all or some of the Letter Series. So it only makes sense I guess that when available, to host em. I even did a complete series on the B-275 for a friend and it is now hosted.

So, ifn any of y'all have a manual you think other folks would like to see on the server, if you could send me a copy either photocopy or a scanned copy it will get hosted at some point.
