IH cub carb rebuild kit

Postby Boss Hog » Sun Aug 02, 2009 4:42 pm

I have used 8 of the new Steiner carb kits http://www.steinertractor.com/IHS825-co ... t-ih-carbs
I have had zero problems with them. If you check out the link you will see that they are the most complete kits that you will find. at 40 bucks you cant go wrong. the idle and discharge tubes along cost more that the complete kit. I rebuilt one for Bear at the Tug, he was so tickled with it he is sending me his other two carbs to be rebuilt with the same kit. And he thought they were running good as they were until he tried his newly rebuilt carb on his third cub.

David:

I guess I may have to try one of these kits on my next rebuild. The fit and quality is equivalent to the CaseIH kits :?:

That is certainly a more complete kit than the one I just purchased from TSC. Now I'm wondering if 1/2 the parts were missing in that Kit.

I drove by Steiner's last weekend (took the more pleasant route to Detroit) and thought to myself - I would like to stop in there someday.

Well, looking at their parts listings online, I KNOW I want to stop in there now! :D Thanks for the review Sir!

Thomas, TM is now carrying these also.

You don't think it might be because I just had their last two shipped to the Bash do you? :D By the way, Tom told me the price will be going up a few bucks since the new kits should also contain the inlet screen.
