Horses blind folded

Postby dakcub » Thu Aug 06, 2009 10:17 am

Why do I see horses with blindfolds on......why do people do this....makes me want to just stop and feed them carrots.

To keep them from being scared of fast moving objects passing by or approaching. Horses, like many other animals can be greatly pacified by being blindfolded. Blinders serve nearly the same purpose, but instead of completely shielding their vision, it limits it to what is in front of the animal only.

some are not blindfolds ,they are covers that they can see through to keep the flies out of their eyes

The covers are good for men to wear at the beach. Wife thins they are sleeping, but they are watching the bikini girls go by.

I used these and their great, when most horses are hinding in the dark barn from the flys. the one's with the mesh hoods are out eating all day long. I had one horse that would meet me every morning wanting this cover put on him..
