Well this morning at 5:00 AM I started a road trip to get the proper tires for the lo-boy.
I was meeting Tom from TM tractor on interstate 84 in NY to pick up two 8.3-24 turf tires, rims, disks, rear wheel weights, and snow chains all bolt to gather at a good price.

Tom is a great guy to do business with; he was very helpful and went out of his way to make my trip to pick up the tires as easy as possible.
After a 6 hour round trip I got home and bolted the tires to the Cub; what a difference. I plowed about 10 in of snow with out any trouble at all.
Tom said that the tires and wheel weights would make the cub a little tank and he was right. I worked the little tractor for over two hours and I was very happy with its performance.

Once again thanks for all the advice.

:P Glad to hear that your efforts paid off with such great results. I have never dealt with Tom (Yet) but he sure seems to be a great person to do business with. I have yet to read about an unhappy customer on the board who has had dealings with him. :P

Don't think you will either JOHNBRON. He has helped me out too. Every thing i received from him was what it was suppuosed to be and how he said it would be and in a timely manner.

My only drawback would be getting him to meet me with goods at intersection of so-and-so on the west coast as a convenience to me factor. :twisted:

JOHNBRON Tom is at many of the IH roundups, Rallies or what ever we call them. If you look at his site you will see him and his wife in front of their booth.

How much weight on the rear wheels do you have?? I am interested because I have the same set up as you but only have one 150 lb(??) weight on each rear wheel.

Thanks for your help. I may have to do some plowing.

I have dealt with Tom on a number of occassions, and he has always been a real gentleman and an excellent man to do business with. Tom and Lynn are great people and a credit to the Cub Family :!:
