Progress Report On My Hubby Rudi

Postby Wise Owl » Wed Dec 29, 2004 8:41 pm

Hi all:

Just to introduce myself. My name is Emilie and I am Rudi's wife. Just thought I would pop in and give you an update on how he is doing. He wishes he could come and play on the computer for a while but his mind is still in ICU :D .

He is doing great, one day at a time. It's only been 3 weeks since his surgery and he gets tired quickly. Gord visits regularly and has kept us posted as to some of the warm wishes and such. Gord and Rudi are already planning on working on the Cub 54's and soon as he is able.

Thank you all for the wonderful getwell wishes, cards, telephone calls, Christmas greetings and most of all, for the prayers.

Christmas Eve was an emotional time for him as our daughters opened up a special package from Arizona. When the girls took the muffler out of the box for him to see, there were tears in his eyes. The thoughtfulness, generosity and kindness you all have shown to him during his time of need is very near to his heart.

BTW, on the day of his surgery, he told me, he could feel all the prayers coming his way and was confident the outcome would be a success. His heartfelt thanks go to each and every one of you. Truly FarmallCub.com is one big family.

Thanks again and I will try to post again asap while he is recuperating until his return.

God bless you Emily. Thanks for bringing us up to date. We all miss his wisdom. Rudi's recovery proves that prayers have no respect for national boundries.

It's good to hear about Rudi from his better half. We all miss his posts and know he's just ich'in to use his white stuff removal equipment. We know that you know what's best, so don't let him get too far out of your sight. Us cubbers will risk almost anything to get back in the seat. Take care, and we'll be waiting for an "original" post in the near future........

Emilie,

Has Rudi showed you how to run the Cub. If so maybe you could plow some snow and he could watch. Bad idea! He might get too excited!

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Thanks for the update Emilie. It's good to hear how well Rudi is doing. I hope he takes it easy and gives himself time to recuperate. No sense rushing it, the forum and his friends will be here when he gets ready to return. Good luck to you and your family in the new year. Bob

So glad to hear about Rudi! Word of warning, Emilie: when my grandfather had heart problems years ago, he had power steering installed on his tractor (Ford), and my grandmother couldn't say too much about it. I've never heard power steering for Cubs, but we have a pretty innovative group here. JUST SO'S YOU KNOW!!!!! Thanks so much for the update....Jeff
