Cub 54 Grader Blade

As some of you may remember, I have a Cub 54 leveling and grader blade (1949 - 1952) that I added a power angle to. I recently acquired a newer (1953 on up) blade and am going to cherry pick some parts from it to use on mine, primarily the spring loaded wish bone in the front. I think that may be an improvement on my older set up. What I am wondering is would there be any advantage to using the newer frame mount bracket that attaches to the front bolster on the lower radiator tank?
The newer bracket is longer and instead of being vertical like the older one, it angles to the rear a few degrees. What are your thoughts on this?
My intent is to swap out the parts that I want and sell the second blade. Both blades will be good units, just mine will receive some updates. What do you think? Is there any advantage to using the newer style frame bracket?

I am in a similar quandry with my Cub-54 blade. I had a pair of the spring assist yokes made for my blade and Gord's blade, along with a few other parts to upgrade them to the newer 54-A style. However, we have still to acquire the newer hanger assembly and a few other items like the lifting lever. The newer hanger assembly is required if you have the newer style lifting lever. If you still intend to use the #650 292 R91 Lifting Lever and not go to the #651 259 R91 Lifting Lever, then the #650 145 R1 Hanger Front Axle is ok. If you use the newer #651 259 R91 Lifting Lever then the #651 269 R91 Hanger Front Axle is needed. I am still attempting to acquire a pair or at least one of the newer 651 269 R91 Hangers for our setups.

The newer hanger assembly is required if you have the newer style lifting lever. If you still intend to use the #650 292 R91 Lifting Lever and not go to the #651 259 R91 Lifting Lever, then the #650 145 R1 Hanger Front Axle is ok. If you use the newer #651 259 R91 Lifting Lever then the #651 269 R91 Hanger Front Axle is needed.

Thanks for the response Rudi but you got some 'splaining to do. Using the spring assist yoke will require the use of the newer #651 259 R91 lift arm, (I'm using your part numbers as I don't have a parts manual to reference) due to the increased offset required to mate with the new yoke. The older one has no offset and will not work. Looking at both of the hanger brackets laying on the shop floor I don't see why the older one would not work with the newer lift arm. Am I missing something?

And a thought just occured to me... why do we have to go to the newer style? I wonder if the old one is useable as well? If so, then maybe I won't have to worry about it. Always thought that the newer bracket was needed. Hmmmmmmm... gonna try that out at the fest on Labour Day... cause the last of the hydraulics is going to be setup. It does appear that the newer style is used to increase stability at the point where the bolt goes... hmmmmm...

From what I can see, the older bracket should work just fine. I had added the additional bracket, to stabilize the bolt, last year and that was definitely a good upgrade (see 1st photo below). I think other than the newer style lift arm and the connecting link which attaches to the rock shaft (see 2nd photo below) the only other item that you will have to change is the bell crank extension. Due to the offset in the newer arm the boomerang bell crank extension is needed. Thanks for the input Rudi. If I run into any other problems, I'll let you know.
