Lucky

Postby DanR » Fri Sep 18, 2009 8:02 am

A week ago today I planted a mix of wheat, oats, and winter peas for a cover crop. Since then the weather has been perfect. A little rain and a little sunshine. The wheat is 5 inches high, the oats are starting to show, and the peas are starting to sprout. A little wet now to reseed the thin spots so maybe I can work on the H today. I do feel lucky. :D :D :D :D

9 days ago I planted Winter rye in dust. No rain here beyond a thin shower.
You are blessed.
Best,
Mike

About 2 weeks ago I planted oats, started raining as I was finishing sowing. Came up real good and was about 3-inches tall after a week. No rain at all since planting and another week later its still 3-inches tall. I really need some of that rain.
