We live about a mile and a half from a state route and often get strays dumped near the house.
We've had these two for most of the summer. The Lab is named Happy, he's always smiling and curling his upper lip and wrinkling up his nose. The little guy is named Lucky. He was one of four that were dumped. Two got run over and a neighbor took the other. As you can see they're best of friends.
