How do you clear out your PM folder? It's full and need room. Thanks

See you found the answer, but I will leave this one up just in case.

Put a check mark in the box next to the messages you want deleted.

Take a look at the bottom of the messages:
There is a box that says: "mark/unmark ....." Click the arrow next to this dialog box.
The next box shows " Delete all marked messages." Click on this message.

Another page will popup that requires confirmation of the "delete" request.
Mark it yes.

All the checked messages in your inbox will disappear.

Good luck.

I have a PM question. What is the best way to find someone's name to send a PM to. The membership list is too long and not user friendly for me. The only way that I know, if I am unsure of the spelling of a name, is to look for a recent post for them and then PM. That takes a long time.

There must be a better way.

Hoss,

On the PM screen, there is a red button (Find a Member) by the spot to type the name.

Click the "Find a Member) button.
A page will open with a bunch of stuff to put in, skip all this.
Scroll down the open page.
There is a bar with the alphabet.
Click the letter by which you think the Members name starts.

Another page will open with all those names.

It is still long, but maybe will shorten the search process somewhat.

Sure would be nice if we all just went by our given names.

Ron, If you don't want to scroll through a long list of names by doing it by first letter there is an easier way. Click on the "Find a Member" button and then on the window that opens go to the "Username" box and type an * then at least three letters of the user you want and then another * . (Example: to find Rick Prentice you could type *pre*.) Then you click on "search" and a window opens with all names that have that letter sequence. Then you place an X in the box by the name you want and click on "Select Marked". The name will pop up in the user name box in your pm. Just click "Add" and you're done. It is easier than it sounds.

Thanks Bill. Works great if you remember to use * as a wild card. :D :D :D

I wish there was a way to search for all members in a certain state or area or within a certain number of miles. I guess that is asking too much

That can be done somewhat, but the members must first post their address in the proper format such as "TX, Dallas". Putting the city first or using lower case or even using . instead of , puts it out of sequence and makes it harder to find.

Dennis,

There are searches from the member lists but unfortunately many don't put the correct home information in so it is not very complete. There is also a map that plots members, also somewhat limited. Click on the "map" http://www.farmallcub.com/membermap/
on the tool bar and zoom in, the pointers have members names.

Good luck,
David
