Ahoy from East Texas. After two and one half years, I am back ashore and, officially, retired, except for relief captain work. I am 68 this month and have two Farmall Cubs, a 1947 (?) that we bought after our plow horse colic and died and a 1950 that my cousin purchased and could not use. Ialso have a spare head, block, pan, crank, etc that my father was gonna' put in the 47 but I talked him into just fixing the cub and leaving the motor stuff for when we might need it. I have all the plows, mounts, disk, etc for the cubs and the 1950 has a belly mower. When I returned home and went to crank the '50, it did not crank. So I have decided to sell all the stuff....the tractors and all the implements. I don't know much about the selling or fair prices as I have been a ships captain for over 40 years. Sorta' lost contact with it. I will need the members here to let me know what, and how. I do not wish to make a ton of money nor do I want to be ripped off and do not wish to rip anyone off either. Opinions are welcome as is just chat.............. Have a great day, fair winds and a trailing sea.

Thank you all for the fast and warm responses. I will take photos (beware, I am a sailor not a photographer) and post them.
Again, thank you. PS I live just outside of the ex-town of Dialville, that is just below Jacksonville, which is below Tyler, Texas. I have some large trailers so I can deliver stuff..

Welcome to the Forum Capt. Jack! Once you get your land legs you may decide to hang on to those Cubs and you have found the right place to help if you need it.
Best of luck,
David

Welcome back Capt.. Was wondering where you had gotten to. A shame you have decided to sell the Cubs and stuff....... now that you have finally retired, it would have been a great retirement project to get the family Cubs back up to snuff. Let us know what we can do to help.. and I would be interested to see the list of implements and such. Very little hope of snagging one and getting it way up here.. but it would be nice to see them.. so any pics are appreciated Again, welcome back and congrats on finally getting to retire
