Old spreader paint scheme

Postby Bob McCarty » Wed Jan 19, 2005 8:12 pm

I just picked up a 1930's JD Model B manure spreader. This one has the full apron for the floor and wood sides. Can anyone tell me if the sideboards were painted on both sides? On this model, the outside of the boards was red, but I've been told both that the inside was painted, and that it was left plain and just oiled, along with the apron. Thanks, Bob
P.S. There's more red on this one than green!!
