Prayer list

Postby John(videodoc) » Tue Dec 15, 2009 8:05 pm

I am a firm believer in prayer.

My step father, most active male figure in my life from age 5 on, had double knee replacment surgery today. He made it through the procedure okay, and starts rehab tomorrow. Home by Thursday. So i am sure he could use some prayer, probably more so being stuck at home with my mother. :D Might want to through her in as well, in being patient with the patient. :D

He turns 70 on the 4th of Jan. Still farming 500 acres by himself. Hire hand to when he is planting and harvesting but thats it. Says he'll retire at 72, i just dont see it. If the the knee thing works out. Since there was no cartalige in there for the past couple of years anyway. He couldnt climb the ladder up the grain bin due to the pain. He will probably be one of them farmers ya gotta pry their fingers off the steering wheel when they are 95. I keep trying to get him to come to DocFest, but thats the middle of selling seed corn and beans, as he does that as well. Wish i had half his energy some days.\

John - I hope his recovery goes well. He may postpone that retirement! Our thoughts and prayers are on the way.

God bless him John. Bev had 1 knee and 1 hip replaced and is doing fine. I am confident he will do well too. Even though I haven't seen her in a couple of years I danced with my aunt Elenore at her 90th birthday party. Elanore had two knees and one hip replaced in her early 80's. Bev and I will pray for him.
