Well, after months of looking for the right Farmall, I took the plunge today by purchasing a late model 140. I had originally been searching for a Super A to use here on a small (7 acre) farm that has been just producing hay for the last millenia. Don't know if it's a great machine, or just a good one, but it seems to have some potential. Just trying to join the club here. My dad had a 48? Cub that I drove and plowed with a little as a kid. Here's a photo - I get it dropped off tomorrow!

Tim - welcome aboard! You will find the 140 is a very handy tractor. It will serve your needs well.

They are a very nice tractor. Here in TN they are a bit harder to find, but if you can find one they usually are a good deal more then a Super A. However, given the choice I would have bought a 140. You should post some pics if you get a chance.

I believe it is a '75. S/N 60546J. Has good oil pressure (60 @ mid RPM) Just got it home about an hour ago. Has a grader blade on the 3 point hitch on the back now. Tim
