New Guy From Ohio

Postby Faster346 » Sat Jan 23, 2010 11:33 pm

Hello, I'm new. My name is Lance, and I'm from Toledo, Ohio. My family has a horse farm about 10 minutes from here in Temperance, Michigan. I have a 1948 Farmall H, that has been in my family for years, and is my restoration project, and a 1946 Farmall M that is my daily work horse.

Welcome Lance! You're in good company here. The buckeye state is well represented on the forum. Plan on joining us in July for the CubFest Reunion and the Buckeye Cub Tug in Stoutsville. (just south of Columbus) That M sure stands proud! And the H looks great.

Welcome Lance. While we are primarily cub people on here we also have a wide variety of interests. Congratulations on having the family H. I also have one. Mine is a 41 that my father bought used in 47 and farmed with for 45 years. Some of the folks on this sight bought it from a previous owner, restored it, and gave it back to me as a surprise. I still get this big stupid grin on my face every time I climb on it.

Lance,

Welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing pictures of those "big boys"! As others noted, there are many members here that have H's and M's and note the "Farmall / IH / CASE" section for questions and other related information. (also the two "Other" sections in the Classifieds should you have the need).

Thanks for the Welcomes! I'm more into the bigger letter series, Hs, Ms, ect. But the guy down the road had mentioned selling his Cub and asked if I was interested. I'm not too sure I'd even fit on a Cub at 6'5'' and 280lbs, but the price seems right for what it is. He said it just doesn't seem to have any power for some reason. Hasn't really gone into detail, but said it fires up and drives fine. It has a Woods belly mower on it. He said I could probably have it for around 800.
