Posting Pix
Every now and then we will see a post where someone will say they would post pix if they knew how. It is not hard to do. Understanding why my daughter has to have another dog is hard to do, posting pix is not.
First, you have to have your pictures on the internet. They cannot be on your computer or we won't be able to see them, because we do not have access to your computer. If we did we would also have access to your email, tax info, nasty letters to your boss, and any other stuff you feel is private. That is why they have to be on the internet.
For all intents and purposes we will pretend you have your pix on the Cubfest PhotoHost. If yours are elsewhere, the basic premise of this still applies. If anyone sees something I missed let me know so I can correct it.
To begin;
I hope this helps you understand a little more about what you can do with posts.

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

David, just open your picture, right click on it and copy the URL into post post and add the img tags.

David:
Simply like this.
Click the image tags.. [img]1.2.3.4[/img] the 1.2.3.4 is simply a placeholder here
Grab the url : http://www.cleancomputes.com/Cub/BuzzSaw01.jpg
paste it between the img tags
and presto
doesn't matter where on the net it is, long as it is on the net and accessible. Sometimes some pic hosting sites do not allow hot-linking which is why the PhotoHost came into existence.

Barnyard,
There is even a short-cut to what you stated. When you right-click on the picture you have opened up, simply select
"Copy Image Location" and then paste as you described. Saves a few steps.

Bill,
Just tried it in PhotoHost. Selected a pic. Clicked it to open it. Then right-clicked with the mouse inside the boundaries of the picture. The pop-up menu that appears contains an entry for (Copy Image Location).

You may have good point there, Rudi. FireFox 3.5.8
Just tried in Microsoft's Internet Explorer. No go. Different menu options on popup menu.
Sorry, Barny Ard. I kinda take FireFox for granted any more.
