Son picked up a Rossi: Mdl: S411220BS. Wal-mart. Single shot, with 22 barrel and 410 barrel. Both barrels included for $127-. Short stock for his son and wife to shoot.
We shot it for the first time yesterday. Shooting off hand - pretty accurate for right out of the box. For the price, pretty impressive.

Eugene, My 2nd son - Aron, now 15 was eyeing one of those a couple of years back. Nice combo! Now that he can pretty much handle a full size rifle and/or shotgun, no need for a junior model.
The Wally Worlds around us got out of the firearms business a few years back.

Eugene, you can also pick these up in a 3 barrel set for a little more. They come with a high powed rilfe barrel too. Pretty good deal for a beginner learning how to take care of rifles. $$$

Son wanted an inexpensive youth sized rifle for the 7 year old grandson. We all ready have a selection of adult sized rifles and shotguns. The expense of the additional barrel may have been an economic consideration - I really don't know.
