Well, it was everything we could do to get that old Cub on the roof. We even had the border collies pulling that cable with us, but we got it there. Unfortunately, we have been having some heavy winds and I was blown off course a bit. The Cub landed right where Melissa was standing to take pix. She said she got a couple of good ones before she dropped the camera and ran for cover. She said the last thing she saw was the Cub landing on the old Kodak sending plastic shrapnel in all directions. That little disc thingy was destroyed. You know, I’m sure I wasn’t the one who taught my little girl to use some of the words I heard her yellin’ as she ran.
But it paid off! I drove it around for a while in second and put the clutch in and stood on the brakes, (found out I need a brake job). That didn’t help, so I was going to give it up and take a different approach. As I went into the barn I grabbed the shifter to yank it into neutral so I didn’t roll over anything. As soon as I was in the barn I pulled back and it felt like it hit third with ease. I moved it forward a little and it stopped. As I sat there I thought it felt like it shifted easier when I came in so I pushed in the clutch and tried to go into reverse. Aha, no grinding. I backed it out and ran it around the barn (that’s a long trip) going through all the gears and never missed a lick. Yep, this one is ready for the cultivators.
Mel said the landing would have made a great pic. Too bad we didn’t get it, I’m sure Rick would have loved it as a jigsaw puzzle in the morning.
Anyway, it runs (almost as fast as Mel). Thanks for the moral support.

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Re: Stuck Clutch or ? SUCCESS!
I wouldnt challenge Bill to getting a cub on his Barn roof, he just may do it. Even if means, disassemling it on the ground, and reassembling it on the roof, using his own lift thingy bob.

Oh, I ALWAYS do, don't you? I also take them to the Tug. Be prepared is what I was taught.

There may be a reason for this sign in Bigdog's and my shops.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.
