Oliver Crawler

Postby Scott » Tue Mar 08, 2005 5:13 pm

Yesterday morning in shop class. we fired up the OC-3 that has been my project since september. It is my fathers crawler and it was siting in its own little spot in the corner of my lawn in the weeds for as long as I remember. We had gotten it running earleier in the year but the clutch plate was frozen to the flywheel so it did not shift. After unseizing the plate and battling with the #%$%&%%^$%#$%#%$#&& U-joints it was back together. through on the little lawnmower gas tank fired right up with no ETHER. Before when we had run it it needed that to start. The rings must has unstucken themselfs. When my teacher drove it out of its spot it it was throwing dirt everywhere. there was a trail of where he had gone and the whole shop was covered in dust. all gears work well except it doesn't quite like going into reverse but one its in it stays in. It feels good to know that something that had to be draged off a trailer with a fork lift and ploped down actually starts up and runs by itself. Here is a pictures of the oliver when my friend came to put it on the trailer

sorry if it is huge what is a good size to post pictures at on here :?:

I second what Donny said on the pictures. That should work for you, Scott........ Saw a small crawler on RFD TV yesterday. Really nice. I can see why you would like to have one, John.

Classis Tractor Special on RFD TV last week had one of those that was restored, and at a show in Florida, but I thought the man said it was an OC 31 or 36 or something. His was 36" wide from track center to track center. Very nice little crawler. I too would like to see more pictures of your's.

They make software you can use to download them directly from your phone to the computer, without having to use air time to send them.
