I pulled a few tater plants this evening.
Left to right, Yukon Gold, Red Pontiac, All Blue. We also have All Red taters in the ground, but they are only the size of a pencil eraser.
Can't wait till later this season to hookup to our McCormick-Deering Potato Harvester and try it out. Found it earlier this year, so I am very anxious on trying it out. Hopefully the wife won't mind riding it as I pull her through the rows.

Were/are the plants browning out(maturing)?---I have hand dug the plants that have matured,--as they didnt all come up at the same time this year, PLUS the flood waters that comes down the county road ditch every time it rains, ruined about half the garden on that side!
So far we got over 70 pounds of average size spuds and am happy to get them!--after curing they will go down to the storage bins in the basement for use as needed!
I never seen the blue spuds before,--just in the ads!---they are kinda cute! thanks; sonny

The Yukon Gold and Red Pontiac are starting to turn brown. The blue's and red's aren't at the moment. I usually dig my taters up first of Sept. I don't know if that's right, but that's what I have done in the past. I felt bad for you when I drove past your house and noticed your taters underwater. I mentioned to my "higher ups" that we should take the time, since we are there, and ditch that in front of your place. That water should go around the curve there. Can't promise ya nothing, but I am trying.

Thanks for trying, Shiggy!!---Hey if they have any extra ditch dirt, I could use some!!!!
The taters are getting close to being ready this year!---kinda way too early, but cant stop mother nature!---Sis wanted to plant the rest of that garden into late taters, so I got it ready and made her the rows, and told her to have at it!--last year we tested a very late planting and they did make some nice sized taters, so we shall see what they do this year! thanks; sonny
