Bought this at the I & I tractor show ! Left side Right side I was hoping it was a 153 cuin motor that would fit my 504 tractor,---BUT its a 200 cuin!---anybody got an idea what the 200 was used on?---this has the bellhousing tag torn off, and has some brackets bolted on both ends like for power unit use. My IH info kinda runs out at 153,--I really could use some help figuring this one out, AND if it might just still fit the 504! thanks; sonny

I do not know first hand anything about that engine. Assuming that the identification of size is correct, the engine is used in various applications and has different configurations depending on application. (1) 544, 2544, 8000 fork lift with synchromesh transmission. (2) 544, 2544 with hydrostatic. (3) 574, 2500A, 2500B, 2505B, 2510B, 2514B synchromesh. (4)574, 2500A, 2500B, 2505B, 25101B, 2514B hydrostatic, 674 synchromesh. (5) 3500A.

Does the paint color of that engine suggest a forklift? Parts lists for that engine are in parts catalog ENG-1.

The paint layer underneath is red primer and the color coat is IH industrial yellow! I took the head off today and got the motor un-stuck,---looks decent inside, just needs new rings,---pistons have a little slap in the bores! ---pics to follow! thanks; sonny

Motor has this stamped on the machined boss---200 CU 2U 04 2535 ---- casting # 397974 R1---right rear boss has F B 8 5 stamped on it. date code is 10. 31. Y closeup of #3 piston top Motor un-sticker set (oak 2x4, and BIG hammer) The dirty head lots of carbon build-up on the inside, needs rings Top of block after I got it unstuck and cleaned #1 cylinder after I cleaned it up!--It was the worst stuck one After driving the piston #1 down to bottom of bore I ran a stiff rotary wire brush up and down the wall, then ran this hone in there a few strokes to smooth up the missed nasties then cleaned the bore before turning over with starter The manifold has the front ear broke off and 1 bolt broke off too This is kinda how ya unstick motors around here! LOL!!! thanks; sonny
