Off Topic - Briggs shop manuals?

Postby dhermesc » Thu Jul 15, 2010 2:23 pm

Anyone know of a website that allows you to download shop manuals for Briggs Engines?

Yup.

I can never remember the link, so I googled Briggs & Stratton Engine Manuals. First hit : Manuals, Parts Lists and Wiring Diagrams

Thanks for the link but I had that site already. They list owners manuals that have gone out of print - not repair/shop manuals. I was hoping to find something similar to Kohler's site.

It was the best info I could find... unfortunately there are not a lot of sites like Kohler or our resources on the net. I had to buy a B&S service manual.. but it is a bit older. Looks like B&S still requires one to purchase a shop manual ... Buy CD's, Books, Manuals and Video's. Not as user friendly as the Kohler site unfortunately ... would have been nice.. I have a fair number of B8S engines mostly older ones and a newer 20 hp in my JD L-111  :(

I broke down and bought one off of Ebay. Thanks for the help - at least I know I had to buy one and didn't miss out on a free one.
