Re: PhotoHostImage size needs to be scaled back. There are usually settings on the camera for photo quality, but I take my photos with a high resolution setting and then scale them down if I need to. What programs do you have to open picture files? You need one with photo edit tools and then you can "resize" or "compress" the image. I drop mine down to somewhere around 440x340 pixels and they load with no problem and they are big enough to be seen on the screen. You don't want them too big or you can't load them as you found out and eventually you will run out of space and have to start deleting pictures to add more in the future.
My avatar is 56x 79. They have size limits too.
Re: PhotoHost

Re: PhotoHostFB takes just about any size photo but I think they have a way of reducing them in size to limit space on the server. I don't know how we can get all that space for free.

Re: PhotoHostcody:
Most of the answers you are looking for are covered in the CBoK. This section of the CBoK - On The Forums - covers how to upload pics to our PhotoHost.
Much of what is there will apply to adding an attachment to the forum database. The only problem with the attachment route in the database is that the pics are by definition and requirements -- small... and hard to see lacking definition/clarity. Much of this information is available in the Pointer text which all new members get in one of their earliest posts..
There is so much information available to our members that there is by necessity a lot of reading. Confusion breeds Discussion which breeds Knowledge which breeds Confidence which breeds Friendship
