Who makes this belly mower?
At first I thought mine was homemade but then I found this on Craigslist.

Re: Who makes this belly mower? Help Again
It's been along time since I first posted this and i didn't recieve any replies back then so I am brining it back to the top so that maybe some can identify this mower. I need to find parts for mine to get it back in mowing shape.

Re: Who makes this belly mower?
I missed this one originally so I am glad you brought it back to the top. I think Billy Ray has it right.. no one if ignoring the thread, it is probably that this is a rather unknown mower and it isn't hitting any chords at all.
It is different, don't think I have seen one like this yet on the net. Nice to see more pics and more detailed pics.

Re: Who makes this belly mower?
I am desparate at this point as it needs quite a few parts to get it in working order. If I can't find a lead in the next few months it will become scrap metal. But I am thinking that even if I can find out who made this mower ...finding parts will be difficult and expensive...more than likely anyway...

Charles:
I started browsing through the pics hiding on my hard drive... but didn't find much. I understand that it is kinda frustrating, but I would hope that with more info someone will be able to help identify it. It may take time... but if this is a rare mower it will probably be worth the wait - at least from a collector's (even from a Cub junkies) point of view.

Re: Who makes this belly mower?
I am missing the most important part which is some kind of right angle drive that goes between the PTO and the flywheel/pully that you can see toward the back of the mower. Also one of the spindles is missing. I am headed back to the field where I found him to double check (Dig) and see if i can find anything. If this is indeed a rare mower I would like to get it back in working order.... I am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping someone will be able to help...

Re: Who makes this belly mower?
Here are Charles' pics of his Cub and Mower that he needs the ident on. I hope we can identify this mower. It looks to be in reasonable shape, a restoration candidate. It is a different mower and not one I remember seeing before.

Re: Who makes this belly mower?
Interesting muffler. I wonder why someone would turn the exhaust facing to the rear right into your face rather than turn it to the side?

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

With that big pulley and vertcal shaft sticking up, it sure looks like the setup from this old post a few weeks ago http://www.farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=54708&p=452141#p452141

Re: Who makes this belly mower?
I think his best bet is to try to back track that one on Craigslist. Looks like it has some sort of a decal on the deck. If it were me, though, I think I'd be looking for a Woods 59.

Re: Who makes this belly mower?
That is a pretty interesting setup, but I can tell you for certain, if you actually want to mow with it, I would scrap it and look for a Woods mower just as Rick mentioned. I see a LOT of things that need to be fixed with that contraption, and once you went through all of them, you would still be working with something that there is no service or parts for. If it's going into working service, go get something that you can get parts for.

Re: Who makes this belly mower?
At one time I had a woods wannabee,---made by JERALCO , a fairly local mfg, shop, so yours could have been made by a third party shop somewhere and stock parts may have been used! (spindles, blades, bearings, etc.) I never seen one like it before,---sorry! thanks; sonny
