Farmall A fan assembly

I need information on how to take the spindle out of the fan hub on my Farmall A. I have it off the braket that secures it to the tractor but am unsure how to get the rest apart.All and any suggestions are needed. Thanks, Randy

you have to take the blade off, under there is a nut that has to be removed. keep a mental note of the oil slinger direction, that is the only difficulty in there.

Thanks Phillip, I had planed on replacing the assembly but after I took it apart I found I did not need to. It was full of grease and there was a little end movement, but otherwise seemed tight. Thanks again, Randy

Clean the grease out and oil it per the Owner's Manual. I don't think that grease in there will ever get to where it needs to be.

Hi Jim, Thanks for responding. There is a grease fitting opposite of the oil fill plug. When that compartment gets full of grease it forces itself down the length of the shaft and comes out the other end. I think it may work this way. Thanks for your suggestion. Randy
