Cody - historically Kubotas have a great track record. Very dependable and they hold their value well.

I have a B1700 from that vintage and I have found it to be a well designed and reliable tractor. Only thing I ever bought for it was filters and lubes so I can't tell you how they are for parts supply and inventory.

Re: opions on Kubota diesel tractors
Everyone I have ever heard form really liked them unless they needed a part that was not a common failure, such as a transmission shaft or air conditioner relay, then they had problems, very long wait and high price.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!
you are part of the problem!!!

Re: opions on Kubota diesel tractors
Although my 3 Kubotas are older models, I will speak highly of them. I do upkeep work on a few late models and have made very few repairs on them, the most major being front drive axle seals. As far as getting parts, the dealer parts department is everything. I get most of my parts from Messicks, they know their way around the Kubota parts books and ship promptly. The nearest dealer is about 30mi. from me and does not have a large inventory like Messicks so I pick up the phone instead of the car keys. If I need a non inventory item quickly, I can have it drop shipped.

Re: opions on Kubota diesel tractors
Which trans does it have? I did a quick search and I only saw one with a std trans. I prefer the shuttle shift. You set the gear you want and shift from forward to reverse by moving a lever where a turn signal is on a car. The big advantage of this is you back up at the same speed you were going forward and you have as many reverse gears as you do forward. Where every std trans I have run reverse is either too fast or two slow.

I had a B7100 for about 8 years with a woods backhoe on it and it was a worker. Loved it. Grump

Around here they are the tractor of choice for many people. They are known for reliability and hold their value very well. Parts are expensive.

Re: opions on Kubota diesel tractors
Cody , you are talking about a 4 wheel drive and that is a good feature with the loader. I had a 30 HP L305 with loader and cant say enough good about it. Parts are expensive and if you get a grey market tractor (bare bones with no safety equip mostly ) parts can be very difficult to come by unless you know the US model equivelant or a good used parts supplier.
good luck.
good luck.

Re: opions on Kubota diesel tractors
I looked at an L3010 when I was looking to buy a new tractor nice machine. Would have been a fine tractor, but the price was just to high for me. At almost 17,000 dollars I just couldn't swing it. That's the entire reason I bought my New Holland TC-30. I got it with 4wd, loader and delivered for 12.500. Has been a wonderful machine. The only drawback on the TC-30 is the hydraulics are a bit undersized for the tractor. Good luck with whatever you purchase
You keep telling yourself that and one of these days even you will believe it.

Re: opions on Kubota diesel tractors
I have been using Kubotas for 15 years and so far have had no other problem than paint fade.I polish my tractors and keep them inside and they still fade after a few years.A famous cubber once said paint dont pull and he is right it is a fine piece of machinery.
