PTO Question ?????

Postby Wiskers » Tue Sep 28, 2010 8:24 am

Howdy,
I have acquired a 1951 Super A with no PTO, & just aquired a bunch of Regular A parts..... Will a PTO from a 1947 A fit on a 1951 Super A ? Also will all the steering parts ( mine has LOTS of play), the trany , final drives, & front end parts also be interchangeable ??
Thanks !!

No, on the final drives. The implement attaching holes are different.

The PTO will almost fit, but not quite. The end of the PTO engaging sleeve changed from the A to the Super A. It needs to be paired up with the matching upper transmission shaft.
