Need A value for 154 and Implements please.

Postby racerboy832 » Tue Oct 19, 2010 10:53 am

Dad bartered some work several years back and took a 154 as payment. The tractor, starts , runs drives. It is missing the grill. Included with the tractor came the International Snow Blower that turns over, A International Trailer, A international Harrow ( there are a couple Discs too), There is a leaf bagger frame that goes on top of the trailer but the canvas is gone, the mower deck is there but off, and one of those platforms that attaches to the 3 pt hitch ( I think Pittsburg is the make). Everything would need to be restored to be mint. He uses the tractor all the time with the trailer to move wood around the yard.

I'd like to sell it all as one package if possible but I need an idea of what stuff is worth. I'm located in Connecticut. I will include a link with pictures. If this is not allowed please remove the link I don't want to make anyone mad.

I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination but this summer on craigslist in my area, there was a 185 with a tiller, snowblower, snow blade, 3-point and a mower deck. It was listed for $3000.00. I myself thought that was a bargain with the tiller and blower but it didn't sell and he was putting it in an auction. Don't know what it went for.

I'd guess the blower and trailer add some considrable value to it since those seem to be pretty rare from what I've seen. They might bring a higher total if you'd sell them seperatley but don't know.

Tractor with the mower deck mounted and working is usually $1800 - $2400 (depends on condition) I would probably rate yours visually nearer to the $2000 mark because of the 3-point hitch & creeper. (these are higher demand options)

Blower seems to be missing a few parts for mounting to the tractor & turning the chute. I bought one (complete) in a little better condition for $800 two years ago.
Carry-All looks in good shape and would probably bring $150-$200

I don't know what I'd value the other items at. As a package, it would probably be near that $2800-$3100 area. It would be in your best interest to get at least one of the larger attachments mounted (mower deck or snow thrower) so you can demonstrate their function. This is merely a thumb in the wind opinion, others may have better estimates.

The snowblower has all the arms attached to it but is missing the rod the turns the shoot. Which end of the tractor does the snowblower go onto? It has a short shaft off the blower but that's all. The Blower says 3150 U 111 , The trailer tag is half painted over but I can rear " U 008251 and it says 10 trailer" The tractor is 2000112-025174. Anyone know anything from the #.

Your tractor is a '72 model year as per:http://www.antique-tractor.com/CubFAQ/cub_faq.html#snlist.

If it's a true IH blower for a Lo Boy, it went on the front.

Here's a link to the parts breakdown if it's the one I think it is: http://www.partstree.com/parts/?lc=cub_cadet&mn=50+Snow+Thrower+-+Built+1969-1978

Well I guess all we have it the complete blower with the front mounts. No driveshaft or shoot angle rod. Dad wants to sell everything as a package but wonder if it would be easier to fleabay the blower and trailer. any idea what I should ask for it?
