I kinda like "Rainbow". Is that the one that had the frozen transmission gears? If so, looks like you solved the problem.

A thing of beauty Dave. I will say that the lift assembly is interesting. Wrong hood for a 57. Not critisizing just commenting. Me I would save it.

Serial number indicates 1957...haven't checked casting dates yet...

The PO said this was a good runner up until this summer when he sold farm...
So, I am going to fix er up where necessary...and enjoy !!

It has a short dipstick, and the old spindle arms with the screw not the bolt. And the early model hood. I am betting it has the non toggle brake bands too , I expect the bolster was changed, also it looks like it has a mag that has been converted over to an external coil.

It will be flat no ribs and have the emblems on it, SS or chrome, I am not sure which for a 57 , I dont think you have a 57 I think it has the correct hood on it now
