I broke it

I took the carb off an cleaned it .Got it started an the idle was high about 1000 rpm noticed the thortle on the side of the govner was sticking sprayed with lube an still stiff pry it down an the third time it snaped just below the cable . how do i take the outer cover of the govner off?

Remove the two bolts and tap lightly with a hammer. It will pop off.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.
