Are there any tow behind implements for a ball hitch 154 Cub

Postby WestDeerPirate » Thu Feb 24, 2011 10:33 pm

I have a 1970 Cub Lo Boy 154 with a simple ball hitch. I am trying to figure out the best way to drag a sub soiler or digging bar or any other tow behind implements. Are there any that work with the old lo boys or is everything set up for 3 point now?

I have a trailer with a ball hitch that I tow with a standard Cub. Can't think of any ag implement that utilizes a ball hitch. You could remove the ball and use the drawbar hole with a pin through the tongue of a lot of tow behind equipment.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Thanks for the response. I have a trailer that I tow with mine by removing the ball pitch. I was curious to see if there were any Ag implements that around for tilling or cultivating that can be used without a 3 point.

23A disk, might be hard without ag tires though.
Best,

OK. Miss understood the initial question. There are quite a number of small ag implements that could (might) be pulled by your tractor. Think along the lines of horse drawn and ground powered equipment; hay rakes, disk harrows, peg/spring toothed harrows, trailer type plows, sickle bar mowers, reel mower, and I'm sure more. Qualification. Lot of variables. An individual piece of equipment may not be a good match for your tractor.

I have a 3-point 6 foot blade that I use. Works ok & is easy to use as long as you aren't dragging snow off to one side. The front end is too light and the blade just drags the front end around. Pushing snow backward works well.

You may find a lot of tow-behind products that have been marketed to 4-wheelers to be a good fit for the 154.
