Coil problems?

Postby Born1928 » Sat Mar 19, 2011 8:13 pm

My 154 will simply not keep running. I have gone through the carburetor (Zenith) and it looks OK. I do have spark accross the points. I did put in new points and condenser not long go. What are the symptoms of the coil breaking down? It's probably the original coil.

In my experience they will start when cold and not after they get become warm. The engine will also stop running when warm.

Make sure you have adequate fuel flow from the tank to the carb.
