100 Farmall Planter

Postby Little Red Cub » Sun Mar 20, 2011 3:12 pm

I have a planter for the 100 I bought but it needs putting together. It was bought new with the tractor in 1955. Is there a place I can see some pictures of one. It has 2 hoppers which I think is a seed and fertilizer hopper. Any help appreciated.

How about some photos of what you have. Not much info to go on, so far.

It is most likely a 180 A belly planter I have a manual here somewhere I believe

Go to the manual server and look at the manual for the Cub-174. Obviously it isn't the same but it is probably 75% the same. That should get you well on the way to understanding how it goes together.

Thanks for the info. It looks like a cub-100 fertilizer special.

Rick,

That is probably a 280A if it is a 2-row. I have a sales bulletin that has photos of all the parts from the planters they had in the early 60's. PM you email address to me and I will pull out the appropriate pages and send them to you. The entire document is too large to email because I used high resolution to capture the photo details when I scanned it.

Thanks for the bulletin Bob. After looking at the bulletin I think it is a 180 Runner with the fertilizer hopper. Looks like it is all there too.
