With a new used input shaft from Hamiltonbob's , and my clutch flywheel plate in hand I brought the entire works to my favorite local machine shop, and he drilled out the shaft bore in the flywheel, and sized a new steel bushing so the input shaft and flywheel bore fit nice and tight. he also had to braze the pin holes on the flywheel, and re-drill new holes to take out the oblong wear..very pleased, machine shop cost $ 110.00, and hope this solves the 154 lo boy clutch issue for a good long while.

Looks good and the price seems very reasonable. How was the bushing anchored into the flywheel?

Good question, he had to drill out center hole in flywheel, and then size a bushing to fit, not sure how he anchored bushing inside, but I can say it does not move, and shaft fits very snug. I will ask him how he anchored the bushing when I see him next.

Press fit and probably bronze not steel

Don't forget to lube the splines on the drive shaft/clutch disc just a little moly will do. The old timers used white grease. This is why the splines are wearing out.
Just a little lube will prevent this wear from happening.
My #3 int154 needs a new clutch. While the clutch disc looks thick and like new it slips sometimes in high range but won't slip in low range(creeper). On my #2 int154 project tractor i'm installing a creeper drive in it too. Bill
