New Chicken Farmer
Ok got chickens,got feeder[hahah!] Watering container---Got a lamp on them.Building a moveable run and coop.Any good suggestions???I love being a city boy,at least I have pets now.They are in the basement till it warms up.I have them in a utitily tub,dual basin.Easy clean up!!! and can put a screen over it.This should be fun I hope.SUGGESTIONS WELCOME!!!!!!Kevin

Doing real good so far,,,no dead ones yet!!!! They even got to play outside all day today!!!! Me too!!!! My moveable coop is 1/2 done and had a few things to fix on the car and some other stuff to do.!!!! Long day!!! 2 chickens wanted to stay out to night.Had to chase them down.Not happy with the wild ones haha!!! Got to love chasing chickens at 51!!!! haha!!!! Kevin

We've had chickens for 9 years now.
We got this book early on and it's been a big help.
Nothing like fresh laid eggs that have been fed a decent layer pellet and allowed to roam a little.

Can't wait till it gets warmer out.Chickens are getting restless in the wash tub.Need to be outside,not in the basement.Garage would be better,still to chilly at night!!Kevin ps ,,,can't wait for the first eggs!!!

Well 2 months in and doing great.They are getting big.Let them free range when I'm home all day.Need to get started on that coop.I like them in the garage,,,I know that nothing can get to them.10 birds,growing BIG!!!! Lots of fun to watch them.Kevin
